ABOUT US

ABOUT SPIRE AUSTRALIA

Spire Australia is dedicated to preserving and restoring the built heritage of Australia. Our team is passionate about maintaining the historical significance of iconic landmarks and heritage sites. We specialize in a range of services aimed at conserving the unique identity of historic places.

Traditional Building techniques employed on heritage structures evolved in concert with traditional materials. The transition to more modern practices has led to a scarcity of knowledge on heritage trades and the imposition of modern remedial techniques and materials can be ineffective or even advance cycles of decay on your structure.

Ormond College

Our work is informed by our membership of the Association for Preservation Technology, our understanding of The Burra Charter and the Society for Protection of Ancient Buildings manifesto, and our experience working alongside established leaders in the built heritage field. All of these combine to give us the capability to aid in the conservation of our collective built heritage.

It is frequently the case that the most advanced cycles of decay are found on the elements of a building which present the greatest access challenges. Our unique level of experience positions us to employ the most appropriate cost-effective, small-footprint access method in the safest way possible. Whether that be advanced rope access, elevating work platforms, flying scaffolds, or traditional steeplejack laddering. Using these techniques allows us to minimise impact to both the fabric and the utility of a heritage structure.
